The Lafayette Lacemakers, Inc. was founded in 1981, and is a non-profit organization and charter chapter of the International Organization of Lace, Inc. Their goal is to educate and develop an appreciation for lace, and the fine art of lace-making. You can read more about them here.
The Lafayette Lacemakers meet monthly for educational programs and workshops. Meetings take place on the Second Saturday of each month, in Lafayette, Indiana. Meetings typically include:
- Sharing ideas on technique
- Hands-on workshops
- Lace identification and study, and their place in fashion, and history
