Happy International Tatting Day - have I got some new pieces to share with you!

As I posted on the FB page, I had finished the Chain Reaction necklace, but what's more grand is that I finally have a picture of the completed item!

Mint-green satin ribbon and a large button for clasp. The ribbon measured 1/8 in wide.

Next on my list of to-tat, is the Network pattern by MK. Has anyone tried this pattern yet?

In the image to the left, you'll see the next project I worked up.

If you're familiar with Designers, then I'm sure you can see this is the Skipping Ropes from Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konior.  🙂

Tatted in Anchor size 8 pearl cotton. The color reminds me of a dusky cotton candy (is there such a color?). I used a simple, flat pearl button for the closure.

The next item that I tatted up, was a simple butterfly around a heart-shaped button.

I used Organza by Bucilla Pure Silk ribbon. 3 yards was just enough to tat the butterfly and use the remaining for the neck cord. Fastened off with silver plated lobster clasp and mini jump ring (not shown). The beads are a pale pink, glass Czech bead.
