Unfortunately, I haven't had much time for tatting lately - though I've still managed to make time to try and find more resources (some of which are upcoming events, and are posted on FaceBook). However, last night I did start a new project, and it looks like this:
I have no idea what it will turn out to be. This project is more of a "challenge myself" vs. following any pattern or what-not.
The reason it's so challenging? Because I'm working with sewing thread! That's so tiny for my chunky-sausage-stubs-for-fingers!
The reason I'm challenging myself? Because I'm not fond of working with anything finer than size 60. I need to diversify.
As you can see, some of the picots have become twisted, which takes away from uniformity, and I almost need magnifiers on top of my bifocals to even see the stitches - BUT, I am going to stick with it, and work just little elements here and there.
There is no pattern to follow, just my own craziness 😀
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. A gentle breeze stirs the wind-chimes, while the happy birds sing their tunes in the gardens. I've got my coffee, laptop, and tatting... what more could I need?
Oh, I almost forgot... I've also started to take up knitting. With the help of YouTube videos, I'm learning... The stitch I decided to try first: Horseshoe Lace. It seems easy enough, and the video I found online - this lady is an excellent teacher (for me)! Her name is Joanne. I'll post my project when I have enough on the needles.
Now I just hope my tension will loosen up soon :-S
